Blue October is a rock and roll band from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1996 by Justin Furstenfeld, the rock band’s lead singer, songwriter, as well as guitarist. Members consist of: his brother Jeremy as the drummer, Ryan Delahoussaye playing multiple instruments, guitar player CB Hudson, along with Matt Noveskey on bass.

The rock band produced their initial album “The Answers,” in 1998 under the management of Justin and Jeremy’s mother and father and was well received inside their hometown of Houston.

Blue October signed with Universal Records in the year, but was released after their very first and only CD, Consent to Treatment, under the label. Yet, their third project, History for Sale was re-released by Universal right after having unexpected sales success.

One of their singles “Calling You” was included on the American Wedding soundtrack, the third installment the wildly well-known teen comedy American Pie series.

Blue October’s following popular hit came in 2006 with the single “Hate Me.” The achievements of the band’s 2006 project called Foiled has led them to be featured as musical guests on evening television shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, as well as the Late Show with David Letterman.

In 2009 the rock and roll band introduced their fifth project, “Approaching Normal” which was the very first album produced by someone apart from Justin Furstenfeld. They released two different versions of the album. Once it was released, it debuted as one of the top twenty groups on the rock music charts.
