COVENTRY: A woman reported July 4 that suspects entered a vehicle outside the residence the previous day and stole two credit cards.

Summit County sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident at a Portage Lakes Drive bar July 10, when a bouncer reported three Stark County men created a disturbance and he escorted them outside. He declined charges of disorderly conduct but wanted them informed they are banned from the bar.

An Akron man called deputies to a South Main Street bar July 11, when he said another male at the business stole $25 from him. Deputies found the money in the second man’s possession, but due to conflicting information supplied by the suspect and victim, the two were referred to the prosecutor’s office to file charges.

On July 11, deputies were seeking suspects who cut a fence to enter a secure area around a cell tower on Killian Road. Once inside, they stole copper wires.

Deputies are seeking a male who stole a bicycle from a 10-year-old boy outside a Manchester Road grocery store July 11. The victim’s father reported the man approached his son, who was riding the bike, and asked if he could ride it, then got on the bike and pedaled away.

The manager of a South Arlington Road retail store reported July 12 an unknown suspect stole three 14-inch tropical fish from a pond in front of the store.

Suspects used an unknown object to damage the body of a vehicle parked outside a Finland Drive residence July 13.

A Doubler Drive resident reported July 13 that a $250 electronic item was stolen from a vehicle outside the residence.

Deputies are seeking suspects who stole a 6-foot banner from the side of a fence at a park on Ingleside Drive July 13.

On July 16, deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle on Portage Lakes Drive and noticed methamphetamine lab components in the vehicle. The driver, a man from Barberton, was found to be staying at a local motel, and police decided to check the site. An active red phosphorus meth lab was found in the motel room, along with another Barberton man, and both were charged with possession of criminal tools, illegal manufacture of drugs and possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs.
