Two face drug charges after search of Cedar Falls motel room
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- Authorities seized methamphetamine, morphine, cocaine and marijuana while searching a motel room Tuesday night.
Lori Ann Newhouse, 32, of Ames, and Daniel Arthur Vinnece, 39, of Boone, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and violation of the drug tax stamp act.
Vinnece also was arrested for possession of cocaine and morphine with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana. Newhouse also was arrested for conspiracy to distribute meth.
Officers with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force served a search warrant at a room at the Extended Inn, 4410 University Ave., at about 10:48 p.m. and found drugs, plastic bags, morphine pills and scales. Both Newhouse and Vinnece were in the room, according to court records.
Both were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail. Vinnece's bond was set at $200,000, and bond for Newhouse was set at $150.000.
