Forced Medication Resumes For Accused AZ Shooter Jared Loughner
(Tucson, AZ) -- Prison officials continue forcing accused Arizona mass shooter Jared Loughner to take anti-psychotic medicine, even though a court has already ruled against the procedure.
Loughner's attorney asked the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court yesterday to enforce an injunction until the panel of justices consider circumstances by which Loughner's medication can prepare him for trial.
He is in a federal hospital in a bid to be restored to mental competency after being found incompetent to stand trial for the January shooting rampage in Tucson that left six people dead and more than a dozen injured, including Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

PHOENIX—U.S. District Court Judge James A. Teilborg sentenced Christopher Joseph Oliver, of Surprise, Arizona, to 85 months in federal prison on Wednesday for his role in a single armed bank robbery that occurred in Phoenix. Oliver, 23, pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery on November 9, 2010.
On June 5, 2010, Oliver and his co-defendants, Christopher Lamont Downing and Eustace Shawn Miles, entered Comerica Bank in Phoenix wearing sunglasses and hats. After entering the bank, Oliver and co-defendant Downing pointed a .40 caliber pistol and BB gun at the bank tellers, demanded money, and threatened the tellers. Oliver and Downing then ordered the tellers to the vault area of the bank, where Oliver and his co-defendants restrained the tellers by binding their wrists and ankles with duct tape. Oliver and his co-defendants emptied the teller drawers and the bank’s vault. Christopher Lamont Downing and Eustace Shawn Miles are currently awaiting trial for their roles in this armed bank robbery.
